I have been taking full advantage of summer and I’ve went to almost every free or nearly free fair in the city.
The first one is the Afro Antillean Fair, or Afro Panamanian, which celebrates the Panamanians that are African descendants. The Afro Antillean, specifically, are the ones that were brought from the islands in the Caribbean to work in the construction of the Panama Canal and bla bla bla :). Here are some pics..

I found this woman so interesting, colorful and fun!!
Its summer in Panama and I’ve been digging myself in photos and a in really warm summer breeze that only tropical countries can have. What is it about been in the beach, under a palm tree, listening to the ocean that we crave so much?. Almost every holiday destination has thet fantasy of being in a warm tropical place, drinking piña colada in a hammock.
Of course, I’m used to it, but every now and then my body just craves it. My body wants to be laid down in the sand and just listen to the ocean.
And more than the ocean calling, there is the green calling, the call that the trees and the grass do. I don’t find anything more relaxing than sleeping in the grass. Nothing more natural and healthy.
Well here’s a little compilation of my beloved summer that is coming to an end soon.
I’m working on some projects that I hope I can show you soon, in a few months to be exact so hang in there..
Hope you have an awesome spring break full of sun, margaritas, beers and green callings.
So it’s officially rainy season in Panama 😦 but before it all gets gloomy and dark I wanted to share with you my favourite tree. And the reason I wanted to post about it is because this tree just blossoms in the summer season and is so beautiful!! Hopefully when I have my own house I’ll plant a dozen of these trees in my backyard.
GUAYACAN: fabebura crhysantha, is this beautiful tree that only blossoms in summer and in the rainy season is only branches and sadness.
Seeing the floor full of its flowers makes me think that I’m in spring, even though we don’t have spring season in Panama.
They also blossom in a kind of pink color but I couldn’t find one or when I did see one I didn’t have my camera. But yellow is my favourite type anyway.
Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL. Hope you like it as much as I do.. and soon, a whole post about trees, why? because I love trees and I’m a treehugger and that’s enough for a post 😀
